If anyone is interested in either of the two rigs, please drop Gil a line at his e-mail address.
I am sure that he would be pleased to know that Jack's rigs would be in use in
the North Bay area. 73 Paul, VA3PC

ARDEN (Amateur Radio Data Emergency Network).as implemented in Alberta.
The presenter will describe how the VA6EDN was conceived and implemented in Calgary.
Its a fairly technical talk. so put on your thinking caps.
It is my sad duty to report that Doug Johns went Silent Key last weekend.
You may remember Doug helping out at events or attending our meeting regularly, before he moved out of town to Lindsay.

Well, we had 2 responses via the poll on the site, 2 emails from members to me directly, and 2 conversations at coffee indicating interest.
That makes 6 expressions of interest. With the sudden increase in cases in North Bay, prudence prevails. So, no meeting this month.
We'll try again in January. Perhaps we can have a show and tell of what Santa brought us for being good this past year (or two).

Well its been a while since we got together.
Dan VE3DLL has offered the use of the Shrine Club for a meeting in November.
Needless to say the meeting will adhere to all current Covid-19 protocols.
We could also have a virtual meeting using zoom or another videoconference application.
We have to elect another board member to replace Drew, or perhaps have a general election.
Your thoughts please. I will place a poll on the website for you to vote on your preference.
The poll will be open for a week.

On September 26, a loving father, grandpa, and GG Papa left this world to join his wife Margaret of 70 years.
Jim leaves 3 children, Anne (Richard), Jim (Marleen), and Maureen (Joseph). He was a cherished grandfather of 8,
and GG papa to 11 great grandchildren. Jim, known to many as “Scotty”, lived a rich life with interests that included
amateur radio, music, art, and computers. Dad was always enriching his mind.

Hopefully most of the COVID restrictions have been lifted, but just in case they haven't,
we'll start with a request for 5 volunteers (same as last year).
Chris VA3CMX will not be available, so I'll be coordinating the volunteers, email me with any questions.
