Primary tabs
Lori let me know Sept 27th that Jim had passed, but I waited until the obit was published before sending this out to the club.
I hadn't expected it to be this delayed. Jim was active with NBARC helping out at various events, and if I remember correctly
was also involved with the Laurier Woods organization. RIP Jim.

HASLER, James Gordon
James Gordon (“Jim”) Hasler was born on December 2, 1943 in Dunnville, Ontario and passed away in North Bay on September 21, 2025 in his 82nd year.
Jim was predeceased by his wife, Carol Cochrane, parents, Helena and Tom, and brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Gail.
Jim is survived by his niece, Laurel Anne (James), and friends and family in Ontario and eastern Canada.
One of Jim’s favourite pastimes was flying. He was a private pilot for over two decades and volunteered for a local, air, search-and-rescue organization. Due to some health conditions, however, he had to give up his pilot’s licence a number of years ago. Jim also volunteered for a number of environmental organizations in the North Bay area and in Southern Ontario.
For the last few weeks of his life, Jim was at Nipissing Serenity Hospice in North Bay. The nurses and personal support workers at the hospice were incredible and provided him with kind and compassionate care.
Jim and Carol had many cats (Cleo, Muffy, Mi-Lou, Tripod, Milly, Tilly, and Mimi) and dogs (Natasha, Nyak, and Nishka) over the years – so, in lieu of flowers, donations made in Jim’s memory to the North Bay and District Humane Society (www.northbayhumanesociety.ca) or Nipissing Serenity Hospice (https://nipissingserenityhospice.ca) would be very much appreciated.
