Alberto Mascioli
August 10, 1933 ~ October 21, 2022 (age 89)

Peacefully passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday October 21, 2022, at the age of 89 years. Alberto was the beloved husband of Vincenza Mascioli (nee Buccini), and the loving father to Salvatore "Sam" Mascioli and Anna Maria Mascioli. Being an only child, he also thought of his first cousin, Tony Gentile, as a brother.

He will be missed by his sister-in-law, Marta Caranfa, brother-in-law, Mario Caranfa and niece, Cristina D'Antonio. He is predeceased by his parents Salvatore Sr. Mascioli and Filippa Mascioli (nee Gentile).

Alberto was born in Cocullo, Italy and came to North Bay as a 15-year-old after WWII in 1948. Throughout the years, he was always interested in his hobbies and learning new things. He became a licensed amateur ham radio operator, built his own telescope and restored his 1947 Chevy Coupe car that he still owned. An avid outdoorsman in his younger years, he partook in all that Northern Ontario had to offer such as hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He was a conservationist with a high respect for nature and wildlife.

In his later years, he learned to navigate the computer and, at 89 years of age, spent many late nights surfing the net and reading up on his other favourite topics which were science, space and politics.

The Family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Wednesday October 26, 2022, between the hours of 7pm-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Church (North Bay) on Thursday October 27, 2022, at 10:30am. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum (North Bay).

If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be gratefully acknowledged by Alberto's family. Online condolences can
