Joe was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces serving for almost 34 years before retiring in 1985. He settled in North Bay, ON where he enjoyed a long retirement. He was very involved in his community. He was a long-time member of the North Bay Cardiac Fitness Club, the Royal Canadian Legion, and the Amateur Radio Club.
