Body:

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Guy Leblond, on May 10, 2020, at the age of 60.

He will be missed and cherished by his wife Gyslaine Leblond (Milot) of 40 years of marriage, his stepbrother Marcel Leblond, and his nephew Marc Leblond. Guy will be held dear in the hearts of his motorcycle club ‘Sons of St. Michael’, extended family and his many friends located throughout Canada and the USA. He was predeceased by his parents; Albert and Ruth Leblond.

Guy will be remembered as a valuable member (retired) of the Ontario Provincial Police, an avid motorcycle enthusiast and an expert welder/machinist. After his retirement, he focused on working in his garage on various projects and on taking bike trips with his club. He spent time with his ham radio amateur club and chatted across North America’s airwaves.

He was pretty funny and always made a lot of jokes (most were bad), but at least he tried. Over coffee, he would discuss politics and sports and the topic of the day with passion and conviction. You could not miss his loud booming laugh. He could not get enough of Gyslaine’s cooking, including her famous cheesecake.

He tried hard to lead a good life and to be a good person. While he left us too soon, we are lucky for the memories that he created.

Donations, in his memory, can be made to your favourite Canadian charity.

A private ceremony will be held after the COVID-19 pandemic.
