1. Killarney District ARES report
Manitoulin/North Shore ARES has added Pat Dopson VE3HZQ, as an
Assistant Emergency Coordinator, in charge of technical matters. The
group has been asked to assist the organizers of an Air Show that is
to be held on Manitoulin Island in September.
On May 29 some members of Sudbury ARES and the Sudbury radio club
provided emergency communications during the annual MS Walk. Thanks
go to VE3's VPD, SNA, and WMJ; VA3AJV; and to VE3's
TXO and DUW who provided bicycle rover coverage along the walk route.

2. Eastern Ontario ARES Report
The Ottawa ARES / EMRG group was notified on May 19th of a city low
water advisory due to a failure of a major water pipe. As part of
their contingency planning, the City Office of Emergency Management
asked if Ottawa ARES / EMRG would be able to provide communications
between water distribution points. The group is prepared but has not
yet been activated.

Amateur Radio groups in Ontario that wish to announce upcoming
events, or report on their activities, are invited to send brief

4. VC9M Special Event
From June 25 to July 25, including Field Day, special event station
VC9M will be active to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the
Moncton Area Amateur Radio Club, Inc. QSL via VE9EMM. For more

WWV, also have an on-line time widget, which displays both the
