Hello All,

The 2018 Hike for Hospice event will be on May 6 in Laurier Woods. This is an opportunity for people to enjoy the beauty of Nature! We need 7-8 volunteers and have four people so far. If you are able to help out, please sign up at the NBARC website or contact me at kethren2004@yahoo.ca.

This is a short event. We will meet at 0930ET in the parking lot at the end of Brule Street to give out the SMEAC, assign checkpoints, and then head out to our respective spots in Laurier Woods. During the event I will be roving throughout the trails. The hike itself starts at 1100ET, and most participants are expected to be clear by 1300ET. Last year we had some people start their walk before 1030ET.

The organizers will have trail marshals where able, as well as a sweep at the end of the event. A complimentary meal will be provided to event volunteers. As always, however, you are ultimately responsible for your own dietary and medical needs, so come prepared.

One parking spot has been assigned in the start/finish area for our base station and vehicle (Drew's van). Everyone else is to park in one of the designated lots.

Some suggested items to bring include:
*Handheld radio
*Blue reflective vest to wear over outer clothing (If you do not have one, you can borrow one from the club)
*Club ball cap, if you have one
*Your own chair or other seating arrangements
*Appropriate clothing for the weather.

I hope to see you there!
