SEPTEMBER MEETING

Body:

Well it is that time of year. The kids have been back in school for a week now. The weather has gotten nice and it is time for the first NBARC meeting for the season. We had a very busy summer season and there will be reports on the events that happened. I'm sure Bill VA3SPT has a few things that he will be bringing us up to speed on. Come on out and see everyone after the summer and catch up.

Start thinking about the CHRISTMAS PARTY as it is only 3 months away.

I must admit I stole this but I thought you might get a kick out of it......

Penguin Mystery Revealed

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins on the ice in Antarctica - where do they go?

Wonder no more!!!

It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life.

The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintaining a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into and buried.

The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:

"freeze a jolly good fellow."

" Then they kick him in the ice hole."

Don't forget. 1930ET Wednesday September 9th at the fire hall on base. Come in the back door.
