PRESS RELEASE                December, 2014
NORTH BAY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
The North Bay Amateur Radio Club wishes to thank its friends and neighbours for another successful year.
We have assisted with many community events this past year by providing radio communications and passing of messages. Our members have helped at Summer in the Park (formerly Heritage Festival), the North Bay to Mattawa Canoe Race, Patrick for Life, Triathlon, Lost in the Rocks and Trees (a x-country mountain bicycle race), the Hospital Walk-Run, and Run Off the Grid, to name a few. The members also support the Santa Fund.
The North Bay Amateur Radio Club (NBARC) is an incorporated non-profit organization whose objective is to promote Amateur Radio in the city and surrounding area, provide communications for local organizations, and when requested, to provide emergency communication. As well, our club provides an opportunity for like-minded people to get together to discuss a common topic.....amateur radio.
If you are interested in joining in on the fun of Ham Radio, and maybe even earn your licence to communicate with others locally and around the world by radio, please feel free to drop by for coffee.
We meet weekdays (10 a.m.) at North Bay Mall food court, or Saturday (10 a.m.) in the Northgate Square food court.
