Hi Everyone;
Lori Beckerton and Denis Hamel recently sent out messages to several of the club members that were in their address books. I'm guessing that either their webmail accounts were hacked, or some trojan virus was downloaded into their PC's. Just a cautionary message not to click on the attached hyperlinks.
Personally, I make it a point not to click on anything without some type of explanation of what it is.
(I'm not talking about one of those "Click here to see amazing things" messages either).
Lori called me today to see if there is anything she can do to prevent future occurrences, and to send out this warning to club members.
I've seen an uptick in spam messages on several of the hamgroup mailing lists I monitor, so I am guessing that the hacktivity (if that is an appropriate word) is increasing.
Cheers, and see you at the meeting tonight.
