NBARC April 9, 2014 meeting.

Called to order 1935ET.
 
CANWARN training location in the training room OPP RHQ.
 
Correspondence: April 19, 20, CQ MM DX contest from Brazil.
 
Treasurer: nil
 
New hams/members: nil
 
80M net: Still running well on 3768 kHz (+/- QRM). Getting 8-12 check-ins.
 
Repeaters Echolink/IRLP: Still running well.
 
Web site: Still running well.
 
ARES: Bill VE3TGI and Bruce attended the Scribe training. Bill gave a report.
 
Hamfests: Durham Hamfest is April 19th 2014. There is a gang from here going. Brampton not as well attended this year.
 
RAC: Paul gave a report.
 
Old Business: Field Day. Lori gave a report. Looking for a (master) chef. Also looking for approximate times of attendance and number of attendees. Questions ask Lori kethren2004@yahoo.ca. Watch the website for more as well.
 
New Business: Doug presented a motion to apply for a Trillium Grant to upgrade our ARES equipment. Seconded by Bruce. Discussion followed. Carried.
The Trillium Committee will be formed, meeting the fourth Wednesday of every month until the project is completed. Any amateur, including those who indicated interest at the April meeting, interested in helping on the Trillium Committee please e-mail Doug VA3DLJ va3dlj@gmail.com so he can arrange space, coffee, doughnuts etc. Location TBA by newsletter in advance, to all club members.
More information will be forthcoming by newsletter or at the regular club meeting.
Bruce gave a report on the pipeline meeting.
Paul is going to Dayton in May. Motion to move the meeting to TUESDAY MAY 13th 2014 as he will be away on Wednesday 14th, 2014. Keeling seconded. Carried.
