NBARC March 12, 2014 Meeting Report.

Called to order at 1935.
 
Correspondence: NO LOTR this year. Back again in 2015.
 
Treasurer: Bruce gave a report. We are not for profit so we must have a small business account not a savings account. Motion to have a second bank card for deposits. Moved/Lori. Second/Howard. Passed.
Bill, Paul, and Drew have to go in and sign signature cards. Going to invest any surplus after all outstanding debts are paid off. Moved/Paul. Second/Gerry. Passed.
 
80M Net: Running as normal. 8-10 check-ins.
 
Repeaters: All running as they should be. Discussed 2M net. Going to discuss it further. Need more activity on the repeaters. Encourage all hams to have their VHF radios on VE3ERX 147.030 (+) (primary) or VE3NFM 147.300 (+) (secondary) and check in to the repeater when mobile around town.
 
Website: Running well. Paul looking at upgrading the hardware in the near future.
 
ARES: EOC Scribe Training. Bruce and Bill Gibson going to attend. Drew is unable to attend as he will be out of town. Will give a report at the April meeting. Bill Gibson VE3TGI is taking over the EOC position from Bill Silver.
 
Hamfest: Ham-Ex Brampton March 22, 2014. 2 seats available. Meet at Timmys Lakeshore and Marshal at 0500ET. We should be back around 1600ET.
 
RAC: Paul gave a report. See the website for more. It is suggested that you carry a copy of the regulations exempting us as mobiles from the distracted driving legislation.

Old Business: Prospective Hams. Discussed course set-up. Looking at semi-regular meetings. Bruce will formalize the course structure.
Field Day. Have the Ski Hill booked. We need a cheque for $100.00. Lori is looking for a Master Chef for Saturday night BBQ. She is looking for of lists of what people brought last year, and what they are bringing this year. We need a commitment from people re dinner (if you don't say you are going to be present for dinner there won't be any dinner for you) and an indication of hours of operation.
CREST. Looking at the original crest as well.
 
New Business: Doug showed a binder of digital contacts. Uses e-QSL. Recommends it.
