Field Day at the Ski Hill
Message #2 (Message #1 is on the club page) For June 23-24

Still waiting to hear if we can use the Conservation Centre and Laurentian Ski Club on Janey next to the Vincent Massey School, on Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24th, but we will carry on with the planning and confirm the location later.

Use the club webpage http://www.ve3nbc.ca/content/welcome to mark your attendance on the Event page, attendanceā€¦. The list has started: we need more to make it a great weekend.
Can you bring an item?
I will post a list of needs soon so you can see what is happening as the planning proceeds. Respond at that time. Also, if you have an idea for an item that would be good to have, let me know and I will post it. Here is what the others have been saying so far.

Bruce VA3BDR, has offered an ICOM 7000 radio and Alpha Delta antenna. He says he has lots of other unopened radio related boxes; curiosity mounts!J

Paul VA3PC, is thinking of bringing his travel trailer too which will be a multi-purpose advantage to have as well for Paul.

Norm VE3NLH, has offered to bring a number of useful items, such as a shelter, coax, connectors, antenna parts, etc.

Bill VE3TGI, is bringing his BBQ, cooler, dining tarp & setting up the lounge area for your bag chair. Both he and Norm profess to being pretty good BBQ chefs.

Washrooms are in the Conservation/Ski Club Bldg. Parking is in the school/ski club lot behind the school and next to the Conservation/Ski Club.

This semi public location was chosen so we can also invite the press, or whoever else.

Preliminary Plan
Two HF stations and one VHF station are possible. We may expand as the plan unfolds.

The rules are located at http://www.arrl.org/general-rules-for-arrl-contests-below-30-mhz
for you to check at your leisure.

Keep checking the club webpage http://www.ve3nbc.ca/content/welcome to check your attendance or e-mail me directly so I can take action for equipment planning.

Thanks,
Doug
