09-05 (May 13th) Meeting Notice

Our May Meeting is coming up on Wednesday May 13th. NOTE: We are at the OPP COMM CENTRE 1900-2100ET for the CANWARN Training. NOT the usual Fire Hall on base. If you haven't let Paul VA3PC know you are coming please drop him a line so he gets enough coffee. VA3PC@ciinet.org will do it. The COMM CENTRE is the big silver building on your left through the fence when you pull into the back of the OPP site from Goremanville Rd. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Tuesday May 11th was the Emergency Prepardness display and exercise at Northgate Square. The exercise scenario was a bombing at Northgate Square Boxing Day with about 1000 shoppers waiting for Future Shop to open. Paul VA3PC was our representative at the exercise. As this was a localized disaster we were on standby only. Things went well. The following hams showed up at various times to man our display. VA3DLJ, VE3XKB, VA3PC, VA3BDR, VE3LOR, VE3RRA, VE3MAF. Thanks to these volunteers.

On a more frustrating note had a separate list for those hams who I sent NBARC info to their personal e-mail. This list got deleted either my mistake (probably) or a computer mistake. I have attempted to recreate this list from my faulty memory. If you receive duplicate or triplicate copies of the NBARC info please let me know and I'll delete you from my personal NBARC list. More importantly if you know of someone who was getting the NBARC info and now isn't either get them to register on the NBARC website http://ciinet.org/nbarc and sign up for the newsletter (prefered as then I don't have a list to loose and it is backed up more regularily) or send me an e-mail and I'll add them to my personal NBARC list. Please let others know of the hiccup.
