The York Regional Hamfest is this coming Saturday November 3rd 2012. Bruce, Howard and myself are still going. Bill VA3SPT is still a tentative (let me know Bill). I have 2 possibly 3 seats available. If you are interested drop me a line ve3maf@gmail.com OR show up at Timmy's Lakeshore and Marshall at 0500 and we will be glad to have you. We stop for lunch on the way home and are usually back in town by 1600.
We have a great time.
Bruce; I'll pick you up at Howards 0430-0445ish.

a> there is a new release of software (to combat the drifting clock)
it has been installed in both repeaters.
b> the antenna on VE3NFM was placed on the new tower today.
... and now for the bad news ...
c> one of the PL259 connectors shorted out - hopefully it was the re-used one at the
bottom of the coax run. I also used a butane soldering iron that I'm not used to.
I'll change the connector before coffee tomorrow and see what happens.
Well October is here and the weather is telling us that. Right at the moment I am at the cottage and it is blowing, cool, and damp.
The October meeting will be held Wednesday October 10th 2012 at 1930ET at the OPP COMM Centre on Gormanville Rd. The doors open at 1915ET and are locked after the meeting starts. Bill VE3TGI will unlock the doors as Paul VA3PC will be away due work.
