Ferrell, Alfred George (UEL)
passed away at Casselholme on Saturday, January 5, 2002 in his 81st year. Alfred was the beloved companion of Heather Hampel. Loving father of Karen and her husband Edwin Epps of North Bay. He was predeceased by his wife Helen Hollingshead of 50 years, 2 sons Kenneth and David, two brothers Lloyd and Albert. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jennifer, Theresa, Kerry and Benjamin and their husbands John Stringer, Craig Vanier and Greg Dirksen. Loving great-grandfather of Savannah, Shauna, Sienna, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Jason. He will be sadly missed by his step-children Jamie and Rebecca Pyper, Rhonda Pyper and his step-grandchildren Jacob, Emma and Michelle. He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Emily Ferrell of Nepean, Gert Stevenson (Mel) of Port Syndey, brother Stanley (Midge) of Welland, sisters-in-law Betty Ferrell, Ora Crafter, Ona Leavens and many nephews and nieces. Alf was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force for 30 years as an aircraft engineer. He then worked for the city of North Bay for 10 years as a Commissionaire. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23 and a member of the Grand River Branch of the of the United Empire Loyalist Association of Canada. North Bay friends will be received at 18 Soverign Drive, Tuesday January 8th, 2002 from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation at James L Pedlar Funeral Home 1292 Pelham Rd. Fonthill, Ontario on Thursday January 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service Friday January 11 at the Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Interment Fonthill Cemetery. Alfred was a 30 year cancer survivor. Donations in his memory can be made to the Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Center.
