BOLTON, John Walter
At North Bay Gemeral Hospital, Scollard Site on Friday, October 15, 1999.
Predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth (MacPherson). Survived by his daughters Sandra Gilfoil of North Bay and Elizabeth McElroy of Halifax. Special friend of Pauline (Mary) Fricker. Survived by his sister Lenore (Nora), grandchildren Lori MacWilliams and John Campaner and by five great-grandchildren. Also predeceased by his parents James and Grace Bolton, brothers Frederick, James and Paul and by his sister Louise. Jack was a navy vet of WWII and a ham radio operator who gave many hours of phone patching for families to Canadian Forces personnel overseas.
Politics was a main part of Jack's life, as reeve of Widdifield Township prior to amalgamation with the City of North Bay. He will be sadly missed by many family and friends. Friends by call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow at the Forest Lawn Crematorium.
