1312 - NBARC 2013 Christmas Party Report

Body:

The Christmas Party was a success. There were (as close a I could count) 30 in attendance. The food was served buffet style and there was lots for seconds. It was very good. Thanks to Guido and Arlene's.
There were 3 draws. Rick VE3ATK supplied 2 bottles of Maple syrup and a basket which included pancake mix and maple syrup etc. Thanks Rick. They were greatly appreciated.
We collected $328.00 for the Santa fund. As far as my memory goes (and that isn't too far) that is a record. Bill will correct me if I am wrong.
Wishing all a very Merry Christmas and Safe and Happy New Year. Please take care if you are travelling. We want to talk to you, not read about you.

Our January meeting is just over 3 weeks away, Wednesday January 8, 2014. Make arrangements to attend. Feel free to bring along those special Christmas gifts you could 'Show and Tell'.

Partick 4 Life Event Report

Body:

We had a great morning last Sunday, the weather cooperated, the runners were plenty, and the flies were few. Thanks to Drew - VE3MAF, Lori - VE3LOR, Howard - VE3GMG, Gerry - VE3YO, Butch - VE3LQV, Rick - VE3ATK, and Bill - VE3TGI we had a successful communications event. The coverage downtown is still marginal with VE3NFM, so we used VE3ERX repeater for the communications.I'm not sure what may be causing this, but it was also noticed that the aprs digipeater seems to not be working. Another thing on my round-to-it list (sigh).CheersPaul - VA3PC
