CLARK, Dr Douglas Milne - We regret conveying the loss of much loved Dr. Douglas Milne Clark at the age of 61 years on March 29, 2011. His father Donald McGregor Clark predeceased him. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Jean Clark, his daughters, Sonya and John from Germany, Allison and Hasan from Nova Scotia, and Lianne from Ontario, his grandchildren Daniel and Anna from Nova Scotia, and his sisters and brothers, Janice and Brian, Bruce and Kathy, Jennifer and Michael, and Ian and Priscilla. Dr. Clark was an early graduate of McMaster University School of Medicine and practiced as a family physician and coroner for over 30 years in North Bay, Ontario. He was known as being a well-informed and caring practitioner to his colleagues and patients. In addition, he was an accomplished sportsman in skiing and sailing. He achieved the British Yachtmaster Certification in sailing and was about to embark on a trip across the Pacific Ocean in November of 2010 when he became ill. Thanks are due to Drs. W. Oczkowski, R. De Villiers, and W. McMillan, and to the staff at the Hamilton General Hospital and the Juravinski Cancer Centre. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be arranged at a later date. Contributions to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
