I'd like to get in to this hobby, are there courses in the area that I can take?

What are some portable radios folks use?

I was told there were no courses here. I just bought the book from coaxpublications.ca and am studying it on my own. They have an online Student Success Pages thing that is helpful and there are a couple of courses on youtube that you can watch.
