1. Canada Winter Contest Logs Posted

The list of the 708 electronic logs received for the 2013 Canada
Winter Contest has been posted at tinyurl.com/racwinter2013 (it is a
PDF file). Log categories are based on contents of logs submitted and
paper logs are not included.

2. CANWARN Training May 21-22

CANWARN training will be offered on the following dates:

Niagara Region, May 21, 7 PM, at Thorold Fire Station #2, 701 Allanburg Road, Thorold
Renfrew, May 21, 6:30 PM, at the Best Western, 760 Gibbons Road
Peterborough, May 22, 7 PM at the Peterborough Public Library, 345 Aylmer St. North

you plan on attending.

3. Thank you from Ontario QSO Party Organizers

The 2014 Ontario QSO Party was held the weekend of April 19th.
Most areas of Ontario were represented, and it provided a great chance
for all of us to check our station coverages within the Province.
So far over 43 stations in Ontario, and over 56 stations from
outside the Province have submitted their logs.

5. Free Online Linux Training Course this summer.

Want to replace that XP operating system with an open source alternative?
Introduction to Linux is being offered free of charge by the Linux Foundation
in conjunction with www.edx.org a non-profit online learing site.
The course helps develop a good working knowledge of Linux using the GUI and the
command line, covers major distributions, and is suitable for home users, system
admins and developers. The course is estimated to take 40 to 60 hours to complete.
