1. BC-Yukon Section Manager re-elected

Congratulations to Paul Giffin VA7MPG who was recently re-elected
for a two year term of office that will begin on July 1, 2013. He
ran unopposed eliminating the need for a balloted election.

2. IARU WRC-15 Agenda 

The Administrative Council of the International Amateur Radio Union
has set forth the IARU positions on the agenda items that will be
considered during the World Radiocommunication Conference in 2015
(WRC-15).  A summary of those positions can be read at the RAC blog,

ONTARIO SECTIONS NEWS

3. OPN Frequency Change

Effective immediately, the Ontario Phone Net has moved from 3.745 MHz
to 7.055 MHz.  The net meets every evening at 7 pm Eastern Time to
handle National Traffic System traffic for the province of Ontario. 
All are welcome to check in, regardless of NTS experience.

4. Field Day June 22

Just a reminder: Field Day runs from 1800 UTC Saturday June 22 to

5. Waterloo Maker Faire

The Waterloo Mini Maker Faire will be held on Saturday, June 15, 
from 10 am to 10 pm, at the Kitchener City Hall, 200 King Street West
in Kitchener.  Admission is free.

"Makers" range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to
scientists to garage tinkerers, and the Maker Faire is a showcase of

6. Shortwave Radio Archive

The Shortwave Radio Audio Archive is a collection of shortwave radio
recordings that you can download or listen to as a podcast.  With
many broadcasters leaving the air, it is vital to preserve historic
shortwave radio broadcasts.  The site also seeks to archive current
broadcasts.  If you have any shortwave recordings you can contribute,
or to listen to the archive, visit www.shortwavearchive.com
