1. Laurentian Net seeks net controllers

The Laurentian Net is looking for additional Net Control Operators.
This is an information and traffic handling net that meets at 18:45
Eastern Time, seven days a week, on 3.755 MHz. If you would like to
help, please contact Shawn VE3PSV on the net.

2. Weather Radio Listeners Net

There is a new net on IRLP. The Weather Radio Listeners Newsletter
Net meets on Saturday evenings at 8:00 PM on the Ontario Public
Service Reflector 9034. It is primarily focusing on Weather Radio but
we can discuss other related topics as well. For more information,
contact Gord VA3WXA at blindgordie (at) gmail.com.

3. Special Event Callsign

From August 3 to August 5, special event station XL31812 will
commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the War of 1812 at Fort
Amherstburg. QSL via VA3CSS.

www.repeaterbook.com is a free North American repeater directory,
maintained by volunteers. You can search by state or province, and
further by frequency, features, linking system, highway coverage, and
more.

5. VHF Antenna Comparisons

VE7BQH has updated his 2m and 6m antenna comparison tables and
provided additional information on each antenna. These tables
provide the results of computer models for dozens of commercial and
homebrew VHF antennas. The tables are available in plain text and
Excel format at tinyurl.com/6mtable
