NATIONAL NEWS
1. Japan Earthquake Response Frequencies
Japan Amateur Radio League Regional HQ station JA7RL is now involved
in emergency communication to support rescue and disaster relief,
using 40 metres, 2 metres, and 70 cm.  HF frequencies in use include
7.030, 7.043, and 7.075 MHz.  Please also keep clear the IARU Region
III Emergency Center of Activity frequencies of 3.600, 7.110, 14.300,
18.160 and 21.360 MHz. Other frequencies reported in use are 7.130,
14.230 and 21.230 MHz.

2. Communications Academy 2011
Registration is now open for Communications Academy 2011 to be held
on April 16-17 at South Seattle Community College, in Seattle,
Washington.  The theme this year is "Bringing Professionalism to
Amateur Emergency Communications".  All interested hams are welcome.

ONTARIO SECTION NEWS
3. OPN Time Change
Effective Sunday March 13th, the Ontario Phone Net will start at 7
p.m. Eastern time.  This follows the change to Daylight Savings Time,
to keep the net at 2300 UTC.

4. NTS Discussion March 19
On Saturday, March 19th, Shawn VE3PSV will lead an on-air discussion
immediately following the 6:45 pm Laurentian Net on 3.755 MHz.
Topics will include an introduction to NTS traffic handling, and a
new Silent Key reporting procedure.  All are welcome to participate.

5. Iroquois Fleamarket
The Iroquois Amateur Radio Club will hold its 15th annual fleamarket
on Saturday, April 2, at the Iroquois Civic Center.  Take exit 738
from the 401.  Admission for buyers is free.  Open to the public at 9
am; talk-in on 145.29 (-) or if problems 146.97 (-), 100 Hz tone.
