1. RAC Response to Antenna Siting Changes
	Radio Amateurs of Canada has issued a formal response to
	the proposed Amendments to Industry Canada's Antenna Tower Siting

2. Recognition of Vernon Ikeda
	Radio Amateurs of Canada would like to recognize Vernon Ikeda
	VE2MBS/VE2QQ for his contributions as a very dedicated and key
	volunteer for RAC. Vern was our Blog/RAC E-News/Web News Bulletin
	Editor and also managed the RAC twitter account.
	Volunteering for RAC is a crucial endeavor that continues to provide
	everyone with the services they expect. Vern was no exception to this
	and we recognize his dedication to RAC; always exercising utmost
	attention to detail and quality in his work. On behalf of everyone
	at RAC, Thank you Vern!

3. Ontario QSO Party Request
	The 17th Annual Ontario QSO Party will be held on the third full
	weekend of April 2014, from 1800Z April 19 to 0500Z April 20, and
	1200Z to 1800Z April 20. For the full set of rules, contest

	This year several California contest clubs are challenging each other
	to win the "out of province" awards. If you plan to participate,
	please send an e-mail to va3pc (at) rac.ca with your city/county/
	district activation plans. Even if you are only going to be on for a
	couple hours, you could be the rare multiplier someone needs. Hope
	to hear you on the air.

4. International Marconi Day
	A few dozen special event stations will take to the air April 26,
	0000 UTC to 2359 UTC, to commemorate International Marconi Day (IMD).
	This event is held annually to celebrate the birth of Guglielmo
	Marconi on April 15, 1874.
	IMD is not a contest; it is an opportunity for amateurs around the
	world to contact historic Marconi sites using HF communications. An
	award certificate is available. All stations planning to participate
	are urged to register on the IMD 2014 website, www.gb4imd.com [4]

5. Free ATV magazine CQ-DATV
	The new April issue of CQ-DATV magazine, number 10, is now available
	as a free download from www.cq-datv.mobi [5]. It is published in Mobi,
	ePub, and AZW3 ebook formats, plus PDF for those who want to read it
	on a PC. Older issues are also available.
	Although the site is called "DATV," to avoid confusion with All
	Terrain Vehicles, they cover all aspects of Amateur Television, both
	digital and analog.
